Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Stockport, Manchester
Hours: Monday to Friday
Overview of the role: Provide strong leadership across the warehouse operations department with full responsibility and accountability for managing the warehouse operation. Have full accountability for the stock integrity across the organization and ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service whilst remaining cost-effective. Provide input and share best practices to support the current and future warehousing strategy across the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the Warehouse operation in its entirety encompassing staff management, product management & storage, health & safety, product checking and repairs, stock holding, daily communication, and any other aspects arising with and through all areas required.
Ensure the smooth transition of stock between the warehouse and production to meet the needs of the schedule.
Liaising with purchasing to plan the warehouse and prioritize the existing warehouse workload.
To assist in the management and audit of stock in the warehouse by good housekeeping and maintenance of quality control procedures.
Timely processing of returned goods back into stock
Manage and train the warehouse staff.
Manage the warehouse stock / perform stock takes.
Attend Management meetings, generate reports and KPI’s.
Requirements:
Demonstrable experience as a Warehouse Manager
The ability to lead and train others
Ability to work to deadlines on own or part of small team to a schedule
Demonstrate the ability to apply KPIs to measure and improve operational performance
Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
Excellent housekeeping to enable management of stock, maintenance of equipment, and processing of returned goods
